Faded Memories

Every day for 32 years Gigi assembled planners, calendars, pens, pencils and notes before her on the desk and stood over them like a general surveying maps. She was there determined to guide the future of the students before her.

The students are gone now, moved on to raise their families, explore new careers and adventures. Still daily she sits books, pad and pens spread before her trying remember. The memories have faded and life lingers on. It all seems so long ago.

Her students called her Miss GiGi. I call her Mom.
